Knowwaste is committed to net zero
Knowwaste provides an independent service for State governments, councils, waste groups and private companies across Australia to implement highly effective sustainable waste management programs.
By reducing our carbon emissions we work towards the goal in reducing emissions by the year 2050 to keep within the 1.5°C guidelines.
Knowwaste has adopted renewable energy where possible, installing solar panels and opting for renewable energy source from our electricity supplier.
Knowwaste single use plastics
Knowwaste has reduced its use of single use plastics, we have no single use plastic items in the office and we promote the reuse of bags. When completing fieldwork, where possible we have replaced single use gloves with heavy duty washable gloves.
We have dramatically reduced the use of paper by adopting cellular iPads in the field when surveying.
To help reduce emissions Knowwaste has opted to use new, better fuel-efficient vehicles.
